Get’em While they Last: Runt Stun Guns

Not good news, here, today.  The manufacturer of the Truly Great Runt Stun Gun is retiring the current model and replacing it with a higher voltage, but very cheap newer model.  The newer model is a 10 million volt model, which may sound impressive, is truly NOT.

Runt Stun GunFirst, the new model is less expensive.  So, if something is better, how can it be less expensive?  Cheaper quality components.  And, that’s exactly what we find when we first hold the unit.  The first thing we touch is the on/off switch and it feels cheap.  The overall feel of the stun gun is also cheap.  This leads one to believe that the components inside are also cheap.  Is that really what you want when you find yourself face to face with a bad situation?

Second, the increased voltage means decreased amperage.  We’ve always sung the praises of the Runt as being the second highest amperage stun gun on the market, second only to the Barracuda BC37.  And, as we’ve always preached, amperage is what does the stopping of an attacker.  Amperage is what is delivered (by voltage) into the muscles causing the spasms.  Electric laws dictate that as you increase the voltage, you will DECREASE the amperage; its just a simple fact.  So, the new Runt Stun Gun having 10 Million volts, while it sounds impressive, is truly a step backwards in crime prevention.  Again, we ask, is this really what you want?

Fortunately, we have bought a large shipment of the Runt 4.5 Million Volt Rechargeable stun guns for our customers.  However, they won’t last forever, so don’t delay.

Protect with a Mini Stun Gun

Lots of people like to carry their stun guns way out in the open so everyone can see they’re packing.  And, it kind of makes sense that doing so may be a good approach to preventing anyone from attacking.

However, many cases call for something smaller like a mini stun gun.  These little units come in all forms from lipstick to pens to square cases smaller than a pack of cigarettes.  Regardless the form you choose to go with, know that these units still pack a lot of protection against an assailant.

For instance, the Runt Stun Gun carries as high as 4.5 Million Volts, one of the highest available.  And, many others carry well over a million volts.  So, go ahead, choose to be discreet and get a mini if that’s what the situation calls for.

The Runt

I’ve never been referred to as the “The Runt”, as I’ve always been one of the larger in the crowd, but I’ve always thought the term was kinda funny.

But, one thing that’s not funny related to this is The Runt Stun Gun.  This particular self defense weapon is one of extreme power and should not be underestimated.  Any attacker would be well advised to back off if you’ve got one of these in your hand, else they may just end up writhing in pain on the ground.

Even the smallest model has 2.5 Million Volts of stun power.  The larger has 4.5 Million Volts.  Popping this thing at night is enough to make anyone nearby freak out from the intensity of the sparks.  Muggers and Attackers beware….

High Voltage Stun Guns

Okay, everyone seems to be wanting ultra high voltage stun guns.  At first thought, its understandable.  But, there’s more to an effective stun gun than high voltages.

When looking at stun guns, what is considered a high voltage stun gun?  Well, certainly anything over 1 million volts should be considered “High”.  There are many stun guns that range from 1 million to well over 5 million volts.  “So?”, you ask?

Well, the voltage is important.  Voltage is the “push” behind the electricity and you need sufficient push to get into your target.  Perhaps you have thick clothing to get through….whatever.  But, its the amperage that the voltage is pushing and its the amperage that actually does the work.  Amperage is what causes the muscles to tweak out.  So, keep it all in perspective when you’re looking at these things.
