Real Outdoor Security Cameras

Yesterday, we talked about Fake Surveillance Cameras, so today, I thought I’d cover a little about about Real Outdoor Security Cameras.

The cool thing here is that both of these products are generally made by the same manufacturers.  So, if a homeowner wants to install a mix of fakes and real outdoor security cameras, they can and no one would ever be the wiser.  But, when you go to shop for the real cameras to protect your home or business, give some thought as to how much light you feel will be in the area when footage might be needed.  For instance, are you wanting to capture images of people coming through your door or are you wanting to capture images of vandals or burglars sneaking around in the dark of night?  Also, consider the distance that the criminals will be from the camera, as focal length or zoom size will need to be determined.  Finally, consider where you will want to place the cameras in relation to the central monitoring or recording point.  This will help in determining if you want any wireless outdoor security cameras or just all hardwired.
