Barking Dog Alarm

The Barking Dog Alarm EWD-1 has been out of stock for so long, I’ve been jonesing.  I know that sounds crazy, but I love what I do.  I love the products.  And, when I can’t help people get what they want and need, its kind of a drag.

So, yes, the Barking Dog Alarm is finally back in stock.  This is one of our best sellers.  Put it near a doorway that you want protected and activate it.  If anyone, especially a burglar or vandal, comes near that door way, the meanest, most vicious sound dog goes OFF.  And, I mean, OFF.  What’s crazy is just how real the dog sounds.  It does not sound like a recording of a dog.  I just always imagine a huge German Shepherd on the other side of the door when I hear it go off.  I keep one on our front door whenever we leave.  Our neighbors came over while we were out of town one time and were quite surprised.  When we got back, they asked us who took care of our dog while we were gone.  That’s how real it sounds.

flashlight stun gunIf you’ve ever considered getting a stun gun and/or are about to purchase a stun gun, you might want to check out a flashlight stun gun.  They’re highly functional as a flashlight and highly effective at fending off an attacker.

You see, there are several different types of a flashlight stun gun.  For instance, the ZAP Flashlight Stun Gun is a flashlight.  Look at it.  Hold it.  Use it.  You’ll see that its a flashlight.  But, it also has 1 million volts of stun power along with electrodes built into the unit.  Then, there are models like the Phazzer Scorpion Stun Gun that, first and foremost, are a stun gun.  Look at it, hold it, use it, you’ll know its a stun gun or self defense weapon.  But, it also has a flashlight built in.  So you can kinda determine what approach you want to take and you’re sure to find a weapon that will work well for you.   Also, consider something like the ZAP Stun Baton.  This unit is a functioning stun baton, that also has a flashlight for night time use.

A New Boombox Camera

A friend of mine got a new boombox camera as a present for his wife.  But, alas, he didn’t know what he was REALLY getting. boombox camera Fortunately, he was a good boy and she was a fun spirit.  But, this same scenario could have played out much differently.

He didn’t know his present was a boombox camera.  He thought it was just a boombox.  So, he set it up and used it for a few weeks.  Then, one day at a party they threw for a few close friends, the wife brought out some video footage of her hubby dancing in the nude.  She did this as a joke, but she played it on the big flatscreen TV in their living room.  My friend had no idea that the boombox had  camera and dvr in it.  So, yes, he was acting silly one day when he was home alone.  And, his wife busted him because she had turned on the hidden camera to capture his actions.  We all rolled on the floor when we saw what she did.  Well, my friend didn’t.  He just turned 100 shades of red!

Why Not Get a Rechargeable Stun Gun

There are so many stun guns on the market these days and there are so many features available.  I never understand, though, whyanyone would order anything other than a rechargeable stun gun.  I mean, think about it.

First off, batteries can be expensive.  So, getting a rechargeable stun gun prevents that added expense month after month after month.  But, even more importantly to me, people buy stun guns because they need protection.  And, when the battery runs down, do you really want to go to the drawer only to find no batteries.  Then, you think, you’ll get some the next time you go to the store.  Well, even if you don’t forget, it could be a few days before you get some.  And, all that time, you’re without your stun gun. I say, get a unit with a rechargeable battery built in.  That way, as it starts to run down, you charge it back up.  You’ll have your protection everyday not having to worry.

Like a Pink Stun Gun?

You’d be surprised at how often people contact me looking for a pink stun gun.  Seriously, over 10% of our monthly sales are a pink stun gun.  There are several different models available, so people have a choice.

One of the most common pink ones we sell is the Phazzer Scorpion Stun Gun.  This model is available in both black and pink, but thepink stun gun pink far outsells the black.  And, I have to admit, this is the unit that my wife carries when she goes out.  Also, the Phazzer Dragon is available in many colors, one of which is pink.  Additionally, the TASER C2 is available in many colors, including pink.  Now, don’t let the pink color fool you.  These are all still the same high quality stun guns that these makers have come to be known for.  They’ll all still drop an attacker to the ground, leaving them writhing in pain.  But, they just happen to be “lady-friendly”.  Check’em out!

Dummy Outdoor Security Cameras

dummy outdoor security camerasHow does inexpensive, easy to install and highly effective, all in relation to your home surveillance system sound to you?  Well, these all apply to dummy outdoor security cameras.  Most people never think about them.  But, they’re passing up a great investment.

You see, dummy outdoor security cameras look just like the real security cameras.  This is because they’re actually made by the same companies who make the real cameras.  And, they use the same parts.  However, they merely leave out the actual camera inside the housing.  So, not only is the cost much less expensive, but the installation is crazy easy.  Just screw in a few screws and tuck in the fake cable.  In minutes, literally, you’ll have some security camera (fakes) that will cause a potential burglar or vandal to think your home is protected.  And, you can buy these for anywhere from $10 to $20.  Now that’s a great investment.

A Good Pair of Stun Gun Knuckles

stun gun knucklesMy jogger friend called me the other day to tell me he had just bought a good pair of stun gun knuckles.  He knows I’m totally into all the self defense products, so he knew I’d appreciate his purchase.   I have to say that I often recommend stun gun  knuckles to joggers and outdoor exercisers all the time.

They’re actually called ZAP Knuckle Blasters – 950,000 Volt Stun Gun Knuckles.  What makes them so good for athletes is that first, they’re highly effective.  If an attacker, be it a person or a dog, comes near, usually a quick test fire is all that’s needed to back them off and turn them away.  Secondly, they’re great because they fit so nicely into a clinched hand.  As we run or walk, our hands naturally curl and the knuckles fit nicely into that hand.  With buttons less than a second away, self defense protection is also less than a second away.  So, effectiveness and comfort are what makes these guys so great for athletes.

Best Stun Gun?

Thursday, April 28, 2011
posted by SmartStun 1:35 PM

Any idea what’s the best stun gun?  Well, of course the word best is subjective.  So, there really can be no “best stun gun“.  However, there are certainly some really great stun guns and some that are really great for certain situations.

For instance, many people consider Barracuda Stun Guns some of the best.  The quality of the casing, along with the high voltage AND high amperage, a great warranty and overall extremely reliable self defense weapon combine to cause these units to get consistently high rankings from consumers.  Also, Omega Stun Guns are known to be some of the best as they’ve been around since the mid 1980’s.  If they weren’t very good, they couldn’t still exist in today’s highly competitive marketplace.  And, for particular situations, the ZAP Stun Cane and their Stun Baton with Flashlight are well known to be great for people who take walks and are concerned with muggers as well as the possibility of attacking dogs.  These units also get consistently high marks.

Home Surveillance Systems

home surveillance systemsYou have a home.  Or, you have a business.  And, you need protection.  While a monitored alarm is a must, its not always enough.  A burglar can break in, spend several minutes inside, then take off just before police get there.  So, home surveillance systems are becoming more and more commonplace in homes and businesses.

Good home surveillance systems will consist of several cameras and some means of recording the video footage.  The cameras are generally placed in areas where either a particular item needs to be monitored or where traffic or activity is expected.  So, you don’t necessarily have to provide camera coverage for the entire square footage of the property, which can be expensive.   I also recommend adding a few dummy security cameras to further stretch the security dollar.  They look real and make any would be burglar or vandal think there’s even more coverage than there really is.  And, they’re fairly inexpensive.  So, they’re a great investment along with the rest of the surveillance system.

A Stun Pen

Wednesday, April 27, 2011

stun penStun pens are pretty cool.  But, first, let me say that they’re not what most people think; they are not like a writing pen.  They are a stun gun that is long and cylindrical, but larger than a writing pen.

There are a couple of brands of a stun pen.  The most popular is the Stun Master 1.2 Million Volt Stun Pen with Flashlight.  Its wildly popular.  1.2 Million Volts is enough stun power to penetrate quite thick clothing.  And, the flashlight is bright enough to cause short term disorientation in an attacker’s eyes at night.  The unit is small enough to be considered a mini stun gun and be discrete.  But, its also large enough to be shown and test fired and cause an attacker to back up, thinking twice, before he actually attacks.  Unfortunately, many people think a stun pen is going to look like an actual writing pen and are somewhat disappointed when they actually see one.  But, none the less, these things are popular and effective.
