Hidden Nanny Cams are Cool

Here’s something I’ll share with you:  I just love hidden nanny cams.  Of course, though, only when they’re NOT being used on me!  Honestly, there’s no telling if anyone has ever used one on me.  I mean, you can’t tell.  You almost have to just suspect that someone is after evidence on you or you just wouldn’t even think that something is a nanny cam.  They’re sneaky, but cool.

You see, Hidden Nanny Cams utilize real items, like a real Sony Alarm Clock Cd or a  BoomBox or a Real Wallclock.  Then, a camera and dvr get added to it.  The nanny cam gets placed somewhere where you’d expect to see it.  For instance, a wall clock camera might be placed on a kitchen wall.  Or, a boombox camera might be placed on a shelf in a family room.  Then, it gets positioned and turned on.  And, when you happen by, or more importantly, when an abusive nanny or cheating spouse happens by, the unit gets the video evidence needed.  But, you’d never know the boombox wasn’t just a boombox!  Until you got blasted by your accuser!

A Stun Pen is not a Pen

There’s a common misperception that a stun pen is like a writing pen, but it also has a stun device built in.  That’s unfortunate, because many people begin their search for a selfdefense weapon, only to find out what they thought they wanted is not what they wanted at all.

You see a stun pen is merely a mini stun gun of sorts.  It is small and highly effective and they usually have a flashlight or superbright LED built into them.  But, they’re much fatter and longer than a traditional writing pen.  So many people are thinking a stun pen is like a writing pen that is really a disguised stun gun.  But, that’s simply not the case.  So, hopefully, this message will clear that up a little.  Stun Pens are still very awesome products, its just that don’t look anything like a writing pen and so they’re not really in disguise.

Wireless Security Camera Systems

In speaking with a customer the other day, I was kindly reminded that not everyone deals with the same technology as I do every day and so I have to make sure and communicate the basics to everyone.  What I’m talking about is a customer who wanted to install a Security Camera System but didn’t want to go through the hassle of running cables all over his house.  He didn’t mind running some, but he just didn’t want to get into the attic and other creepy crawly places and deal with it.

That’s when I took a second and made sure he knew about Wireless Security Camera Systems.  These surveillance systems utilize the same monitoring and/or recording devices as the the hardwire types, and literally the cameras are the same, with just one difference.  Depending on the camera, it will either have a built in wireless transmitter or a seperate stand alone transmitter that gets placed near the camera.  By using a few wireless security cameras, this homeowner was able to the the surveillance that he wanted, without having to run hundreds of feet of video cable.  He’s happy!

A Stun Gun on your Knuckles

A really cool self defense weapon that is available is the ZAP Knuckles Blaster.  This is a 950,000 Volt set of Stun Gun Knuckles.  They are not brass knuckles, but they still pack quite a punch.  One thing that’s really great about them is how easy they are to carry.  In fact, joggers, walkers, runners and all outdoor exercise buffs really like them, as they fit so nicely into a clinched hand.

Another great thing about these stun gun knuckles is that when they’re carried this way, anyone nearing you can easily see that you’re protecting yourself with this great weapon.  And, if you have to, you can easily shoot a test fire into the air to let an attacker or mugger KNOW how much power is in your hand.  Usually, the mere sound alone, is enough to prevent an all out attack.  But, you’ll rest assured knowing that you have to make full contact, you’ll have the power to back  it up!

Reminder about the New TASER C2 Kits

In January, TASER launched new kits for their ever popular TASER C2.  They launched both the Platinum Kit and the Gold Kit, as well as creating their Basic Kit.  So, be sure and check them out when you’re shopping.

No longer can you purchase just a TASER C2.  Taser has packaged the C2 into kits with varying amount of accessory products.  I think its great, because one of the things they’ve added is a “test” cartridge and target.  This way, when people get their new TASER Gun, they can fire a test, so they get comfortable with how it works, which increases the owner’s confidence AND the owner still has a real cartridge left over to use for actual self defense protection.  The C2 Platinum Kit has a few more goodies than the Gold Kit.  And, the Basic Kit is barebones and only offers the Black C2, while the other kits offer the choice of colors.

Purchase Pepper Spray

Most people know by now that we all need to carry some form of self defense with us nomatter where we go.  I even recently heard of someone having their purse snatched in the parking lot of their church on Sunday morning.  I mean, come on.

While most people want to take some time to really think about what kind of self defense weapon they want, a quick easy decision for virtually all of us is to buy some pepper spray.  There are many different ones out there.  So, if you want to make your pepper spray purchase as easy as it can be, I recommend buying online.  I say this because its very easy to open a webpage that has 20 or so different products and compare them.  Once you narrow your pepper spray purchase down to a few items, then you drill into the individual product page and make your final decision.  And, also, I recommend buying a few of the units you ultimately decide on.  You’ll save on shipping and you’ll have one for your car, for your purse, for your kids, for your spouse, and so on.

Security Cameras for the Outdoors

Most people are familiar with protecting their home or business with a camera surveillance system.  There are many systems available and some even have monthly monitoring by a centralized security agency.  But, most people think that in order to get a security system for outside their home or business, they have to go with one of these centralized agencies.  However, there are many surveillance systems that also utilize outdoor security cameras.

These surveillance systems are quite prevalent and you can find a good selection online.  You can even incorporate both outdoor security cameras and indoor security cameras into one system and monitor both the inside of your home or business, along with the outside of your home or business.  Technology has really advanced to the point where most homeowners can easily find a system that works for them and is simple enough that the homeowner can install them in a matter of hours.  The price of these systems is quite nice, too, usually well within the average homeowner’s budget.

Fight Crime with Stun Guns and TASERS

Okay, here’s the deal:  crime is horrible.  I know, you’re thinking “he had to tellme that?”.  But, that’s only half the story.  The full story is that its going to get much, much worse.  Did you get that?  Much, much worse!  Not just a little.

I’m not trying to be a chicken little here, but my Financial Advisors, who are very good, are saying we’re within months of the dollar crumbling.  It will no longer be the world’s reserve currency.  Why?  Because we’re killing the value of it by printing the crap out of it.  Supply and Demand.  Too many dollars means they’re worthless.  So?  Once this happens, our society will shut down.  The price of oil, and anything that relies on oil to ship it to a store, is going to skyrocket for the US.  Hyper Inflation will hit.  What does this mean to you?  It means very few will be able to buy food, to feed our familes, to eat.  And, when we get hungry enough, we’re gonna go right out and take whatever we want from whomever has it.  Whether you’re looking into stun guns and TASERs or pepper spray and steel batons, simply do not wait.  Get’em now!

If only I were a Bear….

With how bad violence and chaos and riots and crime are these days, I have to say, I wish I were an animal.  I wish I could just stick my head in the sand and ignore all the chaos and criminal activity going on all around.  I wish, like my dog, I could find a nice, sunny spot to lay in and just let the  clouds go by.  I wish….

Knowing my luck, though, I’d end up as a bear.  Just a bear minding my own business, walking around in the woods looking for berries  or a scrap to eat.  And, knowing my luck, some hiker would cross my path, freak out and shoot me with Bear MACE.  Yeah, that’s just my luck.  Trying to be passive and mind my own business, yet getting hit with a huge douse of MACE…Great!

Seriously, times are bad everywhere.  I don’t need to tell you this, I know.  But, you better be prepared.  Whether you’re thinking of Japan or some other place, like Haiti or any other place ravaged by Mother Nature, you need to prepare.  Check into BEAR MACE, STUN GUNS, PEPPER SPRAY or some form of self defense.  You’ll be glad you did.

Am I a Dummy (Security Camera)?

Monday, March 28, 2011
posted by SmartStun 3:26 PM

For some reason, I can really relate to a Dummy Security Camera.  I know that’s gotta sound kinda stupid.  I mean, really, I do understand.  But, every now and then, something comes along that just really makes sense to us.  And, for me, a Dummy Security Camera just really makes sense.

If a burlgar or crook sees these on a house, they think they’re part of a real, functioning home surveillance system.  I mean, there’s no way that anyone can tell they’re not real.  They’re made by the same companies that make the real cameras.  They’re made from the same components.  They have a cable coming off the back.  Some even have a flashing LED light to further confuse the crook.  The Great part of these fake cameras is that they just don’t have the technology inside, so they’re a lot cheaper.  And, since they’re just dummy surveillance cameras, they don’t have to connct to expensive components.  So, again, I’m just a huge fan of these.
