Camera Security Systems

More and more people are buying and installing camera security systems.  Why?  Well, let’s take a look….

People are buying and installing camera security systems more and more these days, because of two reasons: technology has gotten good and relatively inexpensive, and because lawyers are increasingly requiring more proof in order to convict a burglar or criminal.

Technology is such that a homeowner or business owner can purchase a multi camera security system for under a $1000 and they’re so easy to install.  Of course, large systems and packages are available, too, and some even include wireless cameras for those long runs.

As for criminals getting off because not enough proof is evident, of course this is crap.  But, it is what it is.  So, homeowners are wanting to get video footage of whomever is vandalising or breaking into their home so that the criminal will go to jail and not just get a slap on the wrist or worse yet, not even convicted.

Protecting with Wildfire Pepper Spray

Are you in need of a pepper spray or defensive spray to carry around with you, but unsure as which one to get?  Well, you might want to consider Wildfire Pepper Spray brand.

Wildfire Pepper Spray brand products have been around for decades and are considered to be one of the best.  Most people recognize the MACE brand, which is certainly a great and effective brand.  But, so is Wildfire.

You can find this brand of products in numerous types of dispensers, such as small keychain dispensers and even up to the larger Police Size Jumbo Models with trigger sprays.  But, equally as important, is the formula you choose to go with.  For instance, you can get Wildfire in gel, spray and even a fogger.  Give careful thought as to which one you feel most comfortable with.  I’m a fan of the new gel as the natural tendency of the target is to smear or wipe it off.  Well, that just makes it worse!

Best Stun Gun for the Money

Monday, January 31, 2011

What’s the best stun gun for the money?  I get asked that a lot, by many, many people.

I always tell them the best stun gun for the money is the one that never has to be used.  It doesn’t really come down to what brand or what features or what style of stun gun you’re considering.  Instead, it comes down to how it is carried and how it is used.

Think about it, you’re carrying a discreet cell phone stun gun.  No one can tell you have a self defense weapon on you.  You walk past an attacker, who surprisingly says “give me your wallet”.  What’s the sense in that?

Compare that to this:  you’re carrying a stun baton with flashlight down the street at night.  You walk past an attacker or mugger who says “hey”, while you walk on by.

I think its quite easy to tell which is the best stun gun in that situation, now, isn’t it?

Babysitter Hidden Camera

Many people need some kind of camera to keep an eye on the babysitter, so they search for “babysitter hidden camera“.

A babysitter hidden camera is more commonly known as a nanny camera or hidden nanny cams.  Regardless, they’re all the same sort of device.  The manufacturer takes an everyday looking device like a boombox, air freshner or even a tissue box holder and installs a tiny hidden camera and a small dvr into the unit.

The purchaser then takes the device and positions it somewhere in the home where they think the device will have a good “view” of what’s going on.  The user then, does a couple of test recordings to ensure that the device is positioned and recording well.  Once it is, it is then turned on when the nanny or babysitter is expected and footage is recorded.  Since the device is an everyday type of item, the babysitter never has any idea that they’re being recorded.  If you need to have footage on them, you will!

TASER M26

You want a REAL Self Defense Weapon, but one that is non lethal?  How about the TASER M26?

The TASER M26 is one of the foremost stun or TASER type devices available today.  It is quickly and easily recognizeable as a weapon, simple by seeing its shape.  Unlike some other units, this one is shaped like a handgun, so any attacker will instantly know what they’re up against.  And, since its style is like a handgun, it is very easy to aim and shoot.  Finally, the built in laser also helps in the aiming process.

TASER guns work by shooting projectile like electrodes up to 15′ into the target.  Whether the target is an attacker, mugger, rapist or vandal, they’ll instantly know they’ve been hit.  The cartridges are replaceable, so that if you do have to use it, you can reload.  And, you can even purchase a “second cartridge” clip that holds a second cartridge right at your fingertips for quick reloading.

Compare with the Phazzer Enforcer and decide which is the best for your own needs.

TASER Gun & Crime Reports

Saturday, January 29, 2011

Jeeeeeesh, I just finished reading my local paper for the small town in which we live.  Used to, the Crime Reports section was a couple of paragraphs and was about teenage vandalism or about the illegals coming across the Arizona-Mexico border.  Today’s made me want to get an extra TASER Gun for my Dad.

That’s right, a TASER Gun.  My Dad is over 70 years old and lives in Dallas, but I figured if its as bad as it is here, he really needs protection.  He goes to the grocery store several times a week and is just a sitting target.

Heck, I can even remember when I still lived at home.  We were out walking the dogs one night when a car drove by.  Next thing we knew, we were being fired at with a gun!  That was decades ago.  The cops can’t be everywhere and with budget cuts and such, I worry about his safety.  Protect yourself, too.

Many people want help when they go to buy Security Camera systems.  But, with how improved the technology has become, systems can be purchased quite easily.

That’s right, if you go to buy security camera systems, you’ll most likely find prepackaged systems that come complete even with the wiring you’ll need upon installation.  Systems can be found with just 4 cameras up to 16 cameras.  And, some systems even integrate wireless cameras in addition to some hardwired units.  This helps in keeping the installation cleaner and quicker by not having to run cables long distances.

Go online today and check out all the different supplies you can find pertaining to home surveillance systems and equipment.  You’ll be glad you did.

Flashlight Stun Gun

I’m a big fan of a flashlight stun gun.  Some folks give them a bad rap, but I think they’re great and I have two in my home.

The reason some people aren’t fans of a flashlight stun gun is because they’re concerned that by using the flashlight, potentially, the battery won’t be charged when you need to protect yourself against an attack.  Sensible enough argument, I have to say.  But, no matter how much one uses the flashlight, the owner still has to ensure the stun gun battery is charged.

So, my take is that these units are so helpful because as you’re out walking, you have a flashlight.  And, if you need it, you have a stun gun device to knock the crap out of an attacker or mugger if you need it.  Plenty of these units work with high power rechargeable batteries as opposed to little 9V units.  So, the charge should be plenty.

Fake Surveillance Camara

Thursday, January 27, 2011
posted by SmartStun 4:12 PM

When designing a camera security system for your home or office, don’t only consider where you want to place cameras, consider also, what types of cameras should be placed at each location.  Consider the possible placement of a wireless security camera, a fake surveillance camera, or possible two or three throughout your system.

Careful attention to design will help minimize your cost, increase the ease ofinstallation and overall provide you with a better camera security system.  For instance, if you were to place a fake surveillance camera at your front door, you’d probably be doing yourself a disservice, as you most likely want to capture an image of virtually everyone who comes to your front door.  But, if you have a spot in the middle of your back yard that might be flanked by a real security camera on each side, then placing a dummy in the middle, might be a good investment.  They don’t cost much, but will still deter criminals as they think the whole perimeter is monitored.

So, again, give some careful thought to your system design.

Security Fake Cameras

posted by SmartStun 3:56 PM

With how bad crime is getting, many people are wanting to invest in security camera systems to protect their homes and businesses.  But, let’s face it, times are hard and its tough to find the dollars necessary to protect the home against crime.  Fortunately, Security Fake Cameras offer an affordable solution.

That’s right:  Security Fake Cameras are an affordable solution.  These security cameras, which are fake, are made by the same companies that make the real things.  So, the camera housing is as real as they get.  The difference is that there are no camera parts inside, so they are much less expensive.  And, beyond the short, fake cable that comes with the fake camera, no long and expensive cabling is needed.  And, finally, no DVR or signal processing equipment are needed, which further saves money.

But, since these things LOOOOOK real, a burglar or vandal has no way of  knowing that they are fake.  They’re not gonna take the chance of getting caught.
