IP Security Camera

If you’re looking for a quick and easy want to install and monitor a particular area of your home or office, you might just want to check into an IP Security Camera.

An IP Security Camera allows anyone to quickly and easily set up a camera and run a connecting cable to a pc.  With a quick install of software onto the computer, the camera can now stream video images onto the internet.  This allows the user to monitor their home or office while they’re away without paying for expensive monitoring services.

These cameras are also available in wireless versions so the camera can be placed further from the computer and still be connected quickly.  It also makes it harder for a thief or stealing employee to know you’ve hidden a camera in, say, a plant or whereever.

Barracuda BC20

Yesterday, I wrote briefly about Barracuda Stun Guns.   Today, I’d like to talk specifically about the Barracuda BC20.

The Barracuda BC20 comes with the same 5 year warranty we talked about yesterday.  It is packed with 2 million volts and 4.5 milliamps of stun power to quickly drop any attacker to the ground, leaving them in pain and completely dumbfounded.  The unit has a built in battery and its AC charger is also built in.

Finally, the unit has a “pin disable” feature so that if an attacker wrestles the unit out of the user’s hand, the pin gets pulled and the stun gun will not function.  This feature prevents the attacker from stunning the original user.

Tasers

Christmas has come and gone and people are in the stores returning and exchanging products.  Be careful.  Crooks know that your guard may be down now that the season is over.  They’re ready to snatch your purse or take your wallet.

Hopefully, plenty of you out there got some TASER Guns or stun guns or some other form of personal protection.   Its really a nice thought to give someone one of these devices.  I mean, it shows that you care about their safety.  In this day and age with how bad crime is, we all need every bit of support and protection we can get.

A good TASER gun will drop someone to the ground if you need to.

Security Camera Systems

One particular type of security systems is referred to as “wireless security camera systems“.  I like these types for a good reason.

Many times, camera security systems get installed and cables are running all over the place.  Not only is this unsightly, this presents a weakness for an intruder to take advantage of.  They have the ability to sneak up to the lines and cut them, rendering the particular camera or cameras useless.

Wireless Security Camera Systems transmit their video signals without the use of wires so they can’t be cut by a burglar or other bad person.  In addition to being harder to “beat”, they offer a much cleaner installation without having all those wires running everywhere.

Barracuda Stun Guns

Its no secret that I’m a big fan of Barracuda Stun Guns.  Their power and quality is virtually unmatched when it comes to self defense weapons.

One reason why I like Barracuda Stun Guns is their warranty.  Many manufacturers offer a one year warranty.  And, while some offer a lifetime warranty, this is mainly a marketing ploy designed to get more sales and not necessarily indicative of the quality of the product.  But, with Barracuda, their 5 year warranty supports the quality of the product.  The warranty even covers the built in battery.

With voltages from 1 million volts of stun power to 3 million volts, you’re sure to find a unit that suits your needs.  Check’em out!

Best Stun Guns

So, I’m sitting in my store the other day when kind of a punky looking kid comesin.  He’s got kind of a glazed look on his face and asks if we’re hiring.  I say “no”.  He just stands there.

Its about this time that I start getting a little more cautious than normal and begin watching exactly what he does.  I’m glad I’ve got one of my best stun guns next to me, the Barracuda BC30.  He just kind of looks around.  He doesn’t say “thanks” and leave.  He then asks a couple of weird questions and I turn towards the stun gun making sure its within easy reach in case he tries to attack me.

In the end, he just leaves.  Good for both of us, really.  I don’t like aggressive encounters.  But, if I had to, I’d drop him to the ground in writhing pain.

Home Surveillance Systems

There are all types and sizes of Home Surveillance Systems.  And, while they’re called “home” systems, they can be used anywhere, including offices.

Generally speaking, Home Surveillance Systems will be comprised of all necessary components to monitor via video surveillance and will record the footage for possible later use by law enforcement agencies.  A system will consist of a camera or cameras, cabling or wireless transmitters and a DVR or means to connect the system to a computer.

Some are somewhat complex with many cameras and monitor large areas.  Some are quite simple, like a hidden nanny cam.  This device is an everyday item like a lamp or a clock that has a built in camera and a DVR.  They’re generally used to videotape the activity in a small area.  They also usually have a built in microphone.

So, do some research and you’re sure to find a great, affordable solution.

Home and Personal Security

You know, most people think they have to carry a stun gun or some weapon for their personal safety, then they have another weapon or security system to protect their home.

I think that, if proper research is done on the front side of the purchasing process, someone can get the best stun gun or other non lethal weapon to protect both their bodies and their property.

There are so many choices out there.  Some discreet and some right in your face.  A cell phone stun gun or mini stun gun can be discreet while a huge stun baton is meant to deter prior to any connection between the attacker and the victim.  So, think about your own situation and shop around for a piece that will do what  you need.

Enter the Dragon

Phazzer has long been recognized as a premier stun gun manufacturer and the Phazzer Dragon is easily known to be one of the best.

But, one advantage that the Phazzer Dragon stun gun had going for it was that the TASER C2 required anyone purchasing their units to register the gun and pay a registration fee.  Phazzer did not require this.  But, now, TASER does not require the fee.

It’ll be interesting to see if this hurts the Dragon’s sales at all.  Registration is still required of the C2, and many people just want their privacy without any hassles.  So, there may end up being little effect.  We’ll keep our eye on this development.
