That’s right, they’re finally here! Originally announced in early October as being the “Latest and Greatest” self defense weapon to hit the market, there was actually a month’s delay in getting the Ruger Flashlight Stun Guns. But, they’re now in stock and ready to ship…..just in time for Christmas 2013. These are definitely one of the best gift ideas for the season.
Inside, an extremely well made, highly durable aircraft aluminum grade encased flashlight that doubles as a stun gun. 1 million volts of stun power electrify the tip of this weapon. Its great for you. Its great for him. And, its really great to take on walks with the dogs. In the event of an attacking dog, normally, just a quick test fire into the air is all that’s needed to back the dog off very quickly. They sense the negative electrical current as well as hear the shock and instantly break their stride.
Hurry, initial supplies are limited.

We told you there were coming……Ruger Stun Guns!
We’re now taking orders and they should begin shipping within the next couple of days. We’re initially starting out with only the Ruger Flashlight Stun Gun as the demand for smaller sticks and lower voltage handheld units is not very high. We’ll add those later. For now, though, don’t delay on checking out one of the best made flashlight stun guns available.
You’re already familiar with the Ruger brand as being great quality weapons. This model is no different. High grade aircraft aluminum casing, 6 ultra bright LED’s, rechargeable battery…..all this gives you a reliable flashlight that pulls double duty as a great weapon of self defense.

You may be aware by now that TASER has released its first ever, non-shooting stun gun. That’s right, they’ve released the StrikeLight Direct Contact Flashlight Stun Gun.
I’m anxious to see how well it sales. Its a little higher priced than most flashlight stun guns, but of course, it has the the quality and brand recognition of TASER behind it. And, I have compared it to other similar weapons we carry. Quite honestly, I like the TASER model very much.
Its small, but not too small. Its well built, you can tell as soon as you put it into your hand. The flashlight is ultra bright. The stun, while relatively low in voltage and amperage, is still quite effective. Most people are not aware that all models of TASER Guns generate relatively low voltages and amperages. But, of course, we know them to be very effective. The StrikeLight is just the same.
Rechargeable battery that’s built in and an AC adapter comes free. Its a complete self defense weapon. And, even though its only been out for a few weeks now, sales are relatively brisk for the weapon. Find out for yourself why, by ordering the TASER StrikeLight today!

The sales volume of stun guns over the past few months has just exploded! It seems people all around the country are either concerned that crime is heading their way or they’ve already been impacted and are arming themselves. Whatever the reason, people are continually wanting to know which stun guns to get.
This is really a personal matter as everyone is different in terms of what they are wanting to protect against and what their specific situation is. But, bottom line, getting a good quality stun gun is paramount. With that being said, let me first cover what is NOT a good stun gun. Any stun gun that pushes ultra high voltage, say, more than 5 million volts is most definitely NOT a good quality stun gun. This may go against conventional wisdom, but it certainly does NOT go against technical reason. Here’s why…..
A battery is the source of the voltage and the “stun”, or amperage, of a stun gun. And, whatever battery is used can only produce so much voltage and amperage. Technically speaking, once a stun gun starts producing so much voltage, it comes by reducing the amount of amperage, or “stun”, that can be produced. And, the point I’m making here is what good is super high voltage that doesn’t produce enough of the “stun” to do anything? Voltage does not stun anyone. Amperage is what penetrates into the body causing mental and physical confusion and spasms. So, don’t be fooled by ultra high voltage.
Secondly, any stun gun that costs, oh, say $10 is not going to be a good quality stun gun. I mean, think about it. Most good quality stun guns cost from $40-75, some a little more, but this is a reasonable amount to spend to buy a stun gun. These cheap stun guns on ebay for $8 – $20 are just that, cheap stun guns. Don’t buy them…..or, at least don’t buy them to protect yourself with because they won’t do any good.
Now, beyond that, there are many good choices of stun guns. I’ll list a few brands here so you can research them and find the model that will work best for you. Omega Stun Guns, Stun Master Stun Guns, ZAP Stun Guns, Phazzer Stun Guns and The Runt Stun Gun are all good quality products. For one last point, the Barracuda Stun Guns are the highest amperage stun guns available as they produce 4.5 milliamps of current. Again, amperage is the “stun” that people feel. 5 milliamps is considered lethal. So, 4.5 milliamps is almost to that lethal limit.
I don’t think it’ll come as any surprise that sales of all self defense weapons are skyrocketing. With how bad the economy is and with how bad crime has gotten in most major US cities, people are having to take drastic measures to protect themselves. And, because of this, stun gun sales are increasing in almost every category.
That’s right, stun gun sales to California, Texas, Colorado, Washington, Florida, even many of the the smaller states are going off the charts. They’re easy to carry, yet highly effective. And, they’re generally quite affordable. One customer called last week and ordered a 4 pack of Barracuda Stun Guns, one for each member of their family. They were in St Petersburg, Florida. And, another couple ordered 2 taser guns. They lived in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
So, yes, even in the heartlands of Kansas and Oklahoma, people are taking up whatever means necessary to protect themselves. We’ve had a rash of orders from the Midwest. It seems that stun batons are probably the single most common type of product being ordered, but truly, almost all models and styles of these weapons are getting attention and getting ordered.

I read blogs and forums all the time where people are saying to either get a stun gun or don’t get a stun gun for protection, depending on their various viewpoint. And, in most cases, people, due to their varying needs, situations and opinions, are right. So, the question needs to be asked, “Should you get a stun gun for protection?”
Well, that depends. You might consider the following in helping you determine whether you should get a stun gun:
1. First and foremost, will you carry it? Many people buy them, but don’t get it out of their purse when they’re outdoors. So, when someone comes upon them, they’re helpless and don’t have time to get their weapon.
2. Will you keep it charged? Many people start out with good intentions, kind of like New Year’s Resolutions, but don’t follow through with them.
3. Will you buy a stun gun that you feel comfortable with using if you need it? Some people do lots of research, then spend $40, $50 $60, but when it comes time to use the unit, they’ve not practiced with it and don’t feel comfortable using it as they’re simply too meek and timid
My recommendation is this: Commit to yourself that you will do whatever necessary to protect you and your loved ones; do research to find the best self defense weapon that works for you; carry it; practice with it; be prepared to use it. If you’ll do these things, you stand a much better chance of taking care of yourself when you need to.
We’ve all either had it happen to us or at least feared having it happen. You’re walking along when a dog, out of no where, charges you ready to attack and bite. Well there is a way to prevent that dog from going any further that will not harm the dog and prevent you from being harmed.
Simply by carrying a stun gun and giving a test fire into the air is usually enough to stop the dog in its tracks. They sense the electrical charge and know not to go any further. If, for some reason, the dog is over-adrenalined and is still coming, you can make contact with them and the stun gun, firing it and, as long as the stun gun is of good quality, the dog will stop.
For some, a stun baton is prefered as they are a little longer, giving generally 12-24 inches of distance between the dog and the user. Or even a stun cane is a great item to carry, as they typically offer a distance of 32-36 inches between you and the dog. The cane is truly nice if the dog actually needs contact with the stun gun since they offer such a great distance between the user and the dog.
For many, the best place to buy a stun gun is online. I mean, there are so many different choices available and so much hype about each one, that it can be difficult to sift through all the hoopla.
But, online, one can most easily buy stun gun because they can easily be compared. Once the shopper finds a model that seems to fit their needs, a quick search for reviews on the model can turn up valuable input from someone who has actully purchased the particular model. Then, once a model has been selected, searching for that particular model will turn up several retailers. Upon reviewing each retailer’s site, a comparison of prices can be done to find the best price or supplier that you’ll feel most comfortable with.
This day and age, most stun guns can be bought online from suppliers who provide free shipping and no issue with returning the unit should the item just not be what the shopper thought it would be. The internet has truly provided us with an invaluable tool and a tool of extreme convenience. Its no wonder that so much shopping gets done on the internet. And, I think this is a big reason why companies like UPS are positioning themselves to continue substantial growth in the future.
I regularly get asked which is the best stun gun to buy. And, since there is so much hype out there as to which is the best, we decided to add a page to our website that gives clear, insightful information as to which stun gun we feel is the best.
Not only does this page discuss the importance of amps and volts and how they apply to self defense, but the page also goes so far as to tell consumers which make and model I believe to be the best choice. In fact, I even carry one of these models AND I have given one to my father to carry. That’s how much I believe in them.
The specific models discussed are the Barracuda BC20 and BC30 stun guns. If you want more information or to buy one, simply click here: BEST STUN GUN
And, if, after you recieve your order you are as completely happy with the unit as I know you will be, please return to the product page and leave a comment for the next visitor to read so that they’ll know how truly great these weapons are. When it comes to self defense, it doesn’t make sense to take a chance.
So, it was just before closing time at out brick and mortar store when a guy came in wearing a pretty heavy coat and who looked a little out of place. Now, I try not to prejudge people, but I still have to be cautious, especially since my wife and daughter work with me. So, I eased over to the counter area where we keep our stun gun. I reached down and grabbed it and proceeded to head out to the sales floor.
The guy moved through different sections of the store looking at things. And, I kept thinking to myself, “Okay, its almost 80 degrees outside and this guy is wearing a fairly heavy coat.” It just didn’t make sense. In an attempt to make him think I had the upper hand, I disappeared into a back store room and came out with my hand sort of tucked into the back of my pants. You know, kind of like if I had just stuffed handgun down there. I moved into a position where I now had him blocked. I could tell he felt quite uneasy.
After about 30 seconds, he looked at me, smiled and said thanks and left. That was A-Okay with me. No trouble and now we could close. I’m glad I didn’t have to use my stun gun, but I’m also glad knowing I had it if I needed it. Protection these days is more and more necessary and none of us can afford to take any chances.
