Stun Gun Sales Increasing

Saturday, June 1, 2013

I don’t think it’ll come as any surprise that sales of all self defense weapons are skyrocketing.  With how bad the economy is  and with how bad crime has gotten in most major US cities, people are having to take drastic measures to protect themselves.  And, because of this, stun gun sales are increasing in almost every category.

That’s right, stun gun sales to California, Texas, Colorado, Washington, Florida, even many of the the smaller states are going off the charts.  They’re easy to carry, yet highly effective.  And, they’re generally quite affordable.  One customer called last week and ordered a 4 pack of Barracuda Stun Guns, one for each member of their family.  They were in St Petersburg, Florida.  And, another couple ordered 2 taser guns.  They lived in Spartanburg, South Carolina.stun gun knuckles

So, yes, even in the heartlands of Kansas and Oklahoma, people are taking  up whatever means necessary to protect themselves.  We’ve had a rash of orders from the Midwest.  It seems that stun batons are probably the single most common type of product being ordered, but truly, almost all models and styles of these weapons are getting attention and getting ordered.

Prevent a Dog Attack with a Stun Gun

We’ve all either had it happen to us or at least feared having it happen.  You’re walking along when a dog, out of no where, charges you ready to attack and bite.  Well there is a way to prevent that dog from going any further that will not harm the dog and prevent you from being harmed.

Simply by carrying a stun gun and giving a test fire into the air is usually enough to stop the dog in its tracks.  They sense the electrical charge and know not to go any further.  If, for some reason, the dog is over-adrenalined and is still coming, you can make contact with them and the stun gun, firing it and, as long as the stun gun is of good quality, the dog will stop.

For some, a stun baton is prefered as they are a little longer, giving generally 12-24 inches of distance between the dog and the user.  Or even a stun cane is a great item to carry, as they typically offer a distance of 32-36 inches between you and the dog.  The cane is truly nice if the dog actually needs contact with the stun gun since they offer such a great distance between the user and the dog.

Buy Stun Gun

For many, the best place to buy a stun gun is online.  I mean, there are so many different choices available and so much hype about each one, that it can be difficult to sift through all the hoopla.

But, online, one can most easily buy stun gun because they can easily be compared.  Once the shopper finds a model that seems to fit their needs, a quick search for reviews on the model can turn up valuable input from someone who has actully purchased the particular model.  Then, once a model has been selected, searching for that particular model will turn up several retailers.  Upon reviewing each retailer’s site, a comparison of prices can be done to find the best price or supplier that you’ll feel most comfortable with.

This day and age, most stun guns can be bought online from suppliers who provide free shipping and no issue with returning the unit should the item just not be what the shopper thought it would be.  The internet has truly provided us with an invaluable tool and a tool of extreme convenience.   Its no wonder that so much shopping gets done on the internet.  And, I think this is a big reason why companies like UPS are positioning themselves to continue substantial growth in the future.

The Best Stun Gun Page

posted by SmartStun 7:42 AM

I regularly get asked which is the best stun gun to buy.  And, since there is so much hype out there as to which is the best, we decided to add a page to our website that gives clear, insightful information as to which stun gun we feel is the best.

Not only does this page discuss the importance of amps and volts and how they apply to self defense, but the page also goes so far as to tell consumers which make and model I believe to be the best choice.  In fact, I even carry one of these models AND I have given one to my father to carry.  That’s how much I believe in them.

The specific models discussed are the Barracuda BC20 and BC30 stun guns.  If you want more information or to buy one, simply click here:  BEST STUN GUN

And, if, after you recieve your order you are as completely happy with the unit as I know you will be, please return to the product page and leave a comment for the next visitor to read so that they’ll know how truly great these weapons are.  When it comes to self defense, it doesn’t make sense to take a chance.

Getting Close to my Stun Gun at Closing Time

Thursday, March 15, 2012

So, it was just before closing time at out brick and mortar store when a guy came in wearing a pretty heavy coat and who looked a little out of place.  Now, I try not to prejudge people, but I still have to be cautious, especially since my wife and daughter work with me.  So, I eased over to the counter area where we keep our stun gun.  I reached down and grabbed it and proceeded to head out to the sales floor.

The guy moved through different sections of the store looking at things.  And, I kept thinking to myself, “Okay, its almost 80 degrees outside and this guy is wearing a fairly heavy coat.”  It just didn’t make sense.  In an attempt to make him think I had the upper hand, I disappeared into a back store room and came out with my hand sort of tucked into the back of my pants.  You know, kind of like if I had just stuffed handgun down there.  I moved into a position where I now had him blocked.  I could tell he felt quite uneasy.

After about 30 seconds, he looked at me, smiled and said thanks and left.  That was A-Okay with me.  No trouble and now we could close.  I’m glad I didn’t have to use my stun gun, but I’m also glad knowing I had it if I needed it.  Protection these days is more and more necessary and none of us can afford to take any chances.

Buy Stun Gun

So, you need or want to buy a stun gun, but where do you start?  For many, this is reality.  Likebest stun gun many things that you need to buy, you have to sift through all the hype to find the make and model that is just right for you and your needs.

When it comes to buy stun gun, its no different.  All manufacturers make claims about super high voltages or discrete or hidden stun guns or features like flashlights that make theirs the best.  But, in reality, these things may or may not make a difference for you.  Getting back to the basics, you need to keep in mind you started the search to find a means to protect yourself.  Thus, flashlights and hidden gimmicks aren’t necessarily what you need.  What you need is a protective means that will put an attacker on their butt, allowing you time to get away.  And, as such, what you really need is a combination of high voltage, high amperage and a convenient and comfortable stun gun to carry.

I personally recommend Barracuda Stun Guns for this as they offer the best features for your purchase and they are of the highest quality stun guns available.

Stun Guns

There are a lot of different models and types of stun guns.  And, generally, I tell people to do some gut wrenching research before they just go out and buy any old weapon.  But, today, for those people who are the type to OVER analyze and never end  up making a decision, I have a different message.

Instead, I tell you to act.  If you’ve been researching and still haven’t made a decision, then I say buy something.  Order today.  Go online, google “stun guns” and buy something.  Crime is spiraling out of control and we haven’t gotten to the worst of it yet.  The worst will come when US Citizens across the country take up arms and riot in the streets.  Mark my words, it will happen.  We’re already seeing the beginnings.  Look at the national headlines on Monday morning.  Count the number of articles which talk about “flash mobs” and “groups of 14” going crazy and beating others or breaking into stores.  This is the beginning of a very dark period in this country.  You must have some form of protection.  Do not delay.

Non Lethal Weapons

non lethal weaponsMany people know they need some form of self defense weapon, but are afraid to carry a handgun, and so they want a form of non lethal weapon to carry.  And, fortunately, there are quite a few weapons for them to consider.

Some of the various non lethal weapons are stun guns (and various stun devices, like canes, batons, flashlights and more), TASER guns, pepper spray and MACE, steel batons and Wicked Laser ultra-intense lasers.  There are a few others, like pepper guns, but the ones I’ve listed are, by far, the most commonly carried weapons.  Before you purchase one of these, though, be sure to give some thought to which type of encounter you want to protect yourself against and what conditions might surround you when you need it.  For instance, I wouldn’t recommend pepper spray if you’re wanting protection while you walk at night along the coastal beaches.  The steady winds will only cause you grief as you attempt to spray your attacker.  This may be an overly simplified example, but it should serve to make the point.

Non Lethal Weapons

With crime soaring the way that it is, we all need to be on the lookout for what’s going on around us and, quite possibly, take the step of carrying a weapon for protection.  However, many people aren’t comfortable carrying a handgun or some similar weapon.  For these folks, there are a host of non lethal weapons that are available for protection.

Some non lethal weapons are stun guns.  A lot of people like to carry them because, if they get approached by someone, they can do a quick test fire into the air and oftentimes this is enough to scare off the attacker.  Also, TASER guns are highly effective and since they are generally quite visible when being carried, they also can help prevent an attack from even happening.  Of course, there are the old stand bys of Pepper Spray and MACE spray.  And, now there are even more formulas available of these defense sprays, so there are a lot to choose from.  Also, steel batons are quite popular weapons to carry.  Of course, there are others, but these are some of the most popular.

Difference Between Stun Guns and Tasers

Monday, July 4, 2011
posted by SmartStun 12:51 PM

Many people aren’t aware that there is a difference between stun guns and tasers, but there is.  Stun guns are self defense weapons that require direct contact between the stun gun and the target to deliver an electric shock causing them to fall to the ground.  TASERs are self defense weapons that actually shoot wired electrodes up to 15′ to reach the target, then deliver a similar shock and similar disarming effect.

So, when you’re looking for stun guns and tasers, be sure to consider which type might be the best for you.  Some people definitely want the type that shoot giving them a safe distance.  Others, either due to budget or just overall preference, prefer to have a direct contact type that they jam into someone’s body.  An actual stun gun is generally more effective if someone is immediately upon you and their arms are wrapped around your or they are very close.  Sometimes, its hard to get TASER out quickly enough, aim it and fire.  They’re both great weapons.  Just be sure to get what you feel will best protect you.
